For the Salmon:
- 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
For the Mushroom Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup mushrooms sliced (button or cremini)
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- ½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 cup heavy cream or coconut cream for dairy-free
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for spice
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese grated

Step 1: Prepare & Season the Salmon
Step 2: Cook the Salmon
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Remove salmon from the pan and set aside.
Step 3: Make the Mushroom Sauce
In the same pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms for 3-4 minutes.
Add garlic, stirring for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in broth, scraping up any bits from the pan.
Stir in heavy cream, thyme, and red pepper flakes.
