Ingredients
  

  • 1 sheet frozen puff pastry thawed
  • 1 cup diced apples or other fruits like berries or pears
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg for egg wash
  • Powdered sugar for dusting optional

Instructions
 

Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Prepare Filling:

  • In a bowl, toss diced apples with brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.

Cut & Fill Puff Pastry:

  • Unfold the puff pastry sheet and cut into 4 or 6 equal squares. Add a spoonful of the apple mixture to the center of each square.

Seal Edges:

  • Fold each square diagonally to make a triangle. Use a fork to press and seal the edges.

Apply Egg Wash:

  • Beat the egg and brush over the tops of the turnovers for a golden finish.

Bake:

  • Place the turnovers on the baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes or until puffed and golden.

Cool & Serve:

  • Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar or serving with a drizzle of glaze.
