Ingredients
  

For the Chicken:

  • 2 boneless skinless chicken thighs or breasts (cut to biscuit size)
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

For the Biscuits (or use pre-made):

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons cold butter cubed
  • ¾ cup buttermilk plus more if needed

Optional Add-ons:

  • Honey or hot honey drizzle
  • Pickles or cheese
  • Gravy for extra richness

Instructions
 

Marinate Chicken:

  • In a bowl, soak chicken in buttermilk for at least 10 minutes.

Prepare Biscuit Dough (if homemade):

  • Mix flour, baking powder, soda, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Add buttermilk and mix just until dough comes together. Roll and cut into 4 biscuit rounds.

Bake Biscuits:

  • Bake at 425°F (220°C) for 12–15 minutes or until golden.

Fry Chicken:

  • Heat oil in a skillet. Dredge chicken in seasoned flour. Fry until golden brown and fully cooked (about 4–5 minutes per side).

Assemble:

  • Slice biscuits open, place crispy chicken in the center, and top with optional honey or pickles.
